- Buildings above 18 metres will have dry or wet risers
- Buildings above 60 metres will have wet risers

- Risers prone to neglect and vandalism
- Severe penalties should main fail to work fro Brigade
- Damage from leakage could be substantial
- Under BS 5306:1976 dry and wet risers should be
- Visually inspected every 6 months - Serviced annually
