New Distributor for Chubb Foams
Aberdeen company Oil Technics has been appointed sole UK distributor of Chubb fire fighting foams, operating from depots in Scotland, the North West, the Midlands, and the South East and offering round-the-clock delivery seven days a week.
Oil Technics owner, David Evans, 52, founded his company after working in Brazil and Dubai. Whilst in Dubai he was part of the management team that established and ran the first AAAF blending plant in the Gulf for National Foam.
On returning to the UK in 1984 he founded Oil Technics, to supply the offshore oil and gas industry, airports and refineries with National Foam fire fighting foams and laboratory services, together with a range of hazard free cleaning agents and spill response products.
Chubb subsequently purchased National Foam and the relationship between the two companies was established.

Oil Technics will also take over national responsibility for testing the Chubb foam range. Its ISO 9002 accredited laboratory promises a test turn round within five days with an option for same-day testing. The company's Aberdeen site occupies 15 acres with factory and laboratory premises covering three quarters of an acre.
David Evans said, "We are excited by the contract. It broadens our customer base and gives us the opportunity to offer oil spillage and cleaning agents and now fire fighting foam as a complete package all over the UK. We have already started to contact fire officers and other customers with the news and we have a web site on www.firefightingfoam.com for anyone wanting further information."
He added, "We are also pleased to report that Chubb fire fighting foams are not affected by the recent environmental concerns which have lead to 3M withdrawing products from this market."
A chartered engineering graduate, David Evans lives in Aberdeen and is married with two daughters and a son, Hugh, who is also an engineering graduate and works for the company as a salesman.
Chubb, part of the Chubb UK and Ireland business operation, is the UK's largest fire extinguisher manufacturer and servicing provider and leads the way in fire protection and electronic security.
